Duck Shoot on Motionographer
Dec 29, 2012
Yesterday Motionographer posted Duck Shoot on their website:
âBoardwalk games are awesome! Duck Shoot is Rebecca Manley's beautifully executed stop-motion short. And, it's created almost entirely with recycled cardboard. One person's trash is another person's treasure!â
Thanks Angelo Collazo and the team. Glad that you like it.
Duck Shoot photos

Here are some photos from my recent shoot at Clapham Road Studios. My latest work Duck Shoot is a 30 second stop-motion piece made entirely out of recycled cardboard. After a lot of hard graft from a team of amazingly talented individuals, I am nearing completion on the project and will be releasing it very soon.
Random Acts
Nov 26, 2012
I submitted a short film idea to Ch4's Random Acts at the end of October. And I was told last week that I have been commissioned. Exciting! Lots of planning to do nowâ¦

Random Acts is a short-form daily arts strand on Channel 4, late nights. It launched in 2011 and in its first year showcased 260 specially-commissioned three-minute films chosen for their bold and creative expressions of creativity.
Television as art, rather than about art, Random Acts will enable a diverse supply of both established artists and emerging talent to create their own pieces, unmediated by presenters and unfettered by the conventions of conservative arts television. The short films will disrupt the schedule with content including, but not restricted to, spoken word, dance, animation, video art and music.
To ensure a diverse, surprising and consistently excellent supply of talent, weâll work with a group of creatives including Tate Media; youth media brand, Vice; cutting-edge dance company, Ballet Boyz, FACT, and some of the country's most imaginative production companies to create each and every Random Act.
Fairy Liquid commercial for P&G
Oct 16, 2012
This week I am working on updating packs for a November re-release of the Fairy Make a Wish cinema commercial that I directed in Oct/Nov 2010. At 2mins 24seconds it is to all intents and purposes a short film, and I am really pleased that it is being aired again. I directed, designed and artworked the piece, highlighting the partnership between Fairy and Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK who grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses.
Agency: Grey London, Clients: P&G and Make a Wish Foundation, Director: Rebecca Manley, Animation Producer: Maria Manton.
